Crypto Exchanges OKX and Bitget Diverge on Fees, Security Measures
Two major crypto exchanges, OKX and Bitget, have different fee structures for their users. The fees for spot trading on both platforms are similar at 0.1% maker and 0.1% taker, but paying fees in BGB reduces this rate to 0.08% on both sides on Bitget. However, OKX has a tiered system that steps down with OKB holdings and 30-day volume.
On perpetuals, OKX charges 0.05% for takers, while Bitget charges 0.06%. OKX also lists options at 0.02% maker and 0.03% taker, a product that Bitget does not offer. The two platforms have different security measures in place as well.
OKX has collected licenses in the United States, the United Kingdom, the EEA, and Singapore since 2025, while Bitget serves Europe through a MiCA entity and is leaving Japan in stages between August and December 2026. This raises questions about which platform is more secure and reliable.
