Crypto Extortion Gangs Targeting Social Media-Flaunting Investors for Bitcoin

Two Bitcoin millionaires were held captive and tortured for two days by an extortion gang in a brazen display of physical violence against digital wealth.

The victims, who were identified as Bitcoin holders, were targeted due to their extravagant lifestyles, which they flaunted on social media platforms like Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).

The extortionists deployed 'digital spotters' to monitor the men's online activities and track their routines, home addresses, and security vulnerabilities.

During the two-day captivity, the victims were subjected to severe physical and psychological abuse designed to break their will and force the transfer of their Bitcoin holdings.
