Crypto faces one of its most critical weeks in 2026 as the U.S. Senate prepares to vote on the CLARITY Act, a bill that would establish clearer rules for digital-asset classifications and division of oversight between the SEC and CFTC.

The legislation requires 60 votes to advance, and a crucial procedural vote is expected on September 15. This week will also see the Federal Reserve's decision, adding another layer of uncertainty to the market.

For investors looking for new opportunities, six cryptocurrencies stand out: Ethereum (ETH), XRP, Solana (SOL), Chainlink (LINK), Hedera (HBAR), and DigiTap ($TAP).

Ethereum is a clear choice given its central role in smart contracts, DeFi, stablecoins, and tokenization. Its existing ecosystem makes it an attractive option for those seeking regulatory clarity.

XRP could be particularly affected by the CLARITY Act's emphasis on clearer distinctions between SEC- and CFTC-regulated assets. XRP is already associated with payments and institutional financial infrastructure.

Solana offers a high-throughput alternative, with its ecosystem spanning DeFi, payments, stablecoins, tokenized assets, and consumer applications.

Chainlink provides an infrastructure angle, as traditional financial institutions experiment with tokenized assets. LINK gives buyers exposure to the plumbing behind tokenization trends.

Hedera rounds out the established picks with an enterprise-focused proposition, including recent adoption stories like Merck integrating its product-authentication technology with a digital product passport platform built on Hedera.

DigiTap differs from the others by offering early entry before public exchanges. The token remains at $0.0589 in Round 4 of its 10-round presale, with more than $11.72 million raised and over 85% sold.
