Crypto Giants Resume Buying: Major Treasury Companies Join Bitcoin and Ethereum Bull Run
Crypto market participants have seen a significant price increase in recent days, with notable movements in Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL). Major treasury companies have also resumed buying.
Strategy, the world's largest publicly traded BTC holder, has made purchases again after weeks. According to its founder Michael Saylor, Strategy purchased an additional 950 BTC, bringing the company's total BTC holdings to 846,000. The company also repurchased STRC preferred shares worth $174 million.
Saylor noted that Strategy holds assets worth $6.09 billion, which could cover current preferred stock dividends and interest payments for approximately 3.8 years. This includes cash, marketable securities, and strategic investment assets.
Ethereum purchases have also continued, with Bitmine announcing it purchased an additional 27,562 ETH, bringing its total holdings to 5,983,940. This represents 4.9% of the total circulating ETH supply. Bitmine's total assets, including cryptocurrency, cash, marketable securities, and strategic investment assets, have reached $17.1 billion.
Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee stated that 'a crypto bull market is continuing, driven by several factors,' including a shift from AI to crypto and strengthening of crypto fundamentals around tokenization and AI. He also predicted institutions will increase their crypto investments in the final three months of 2026.
