Crypto Group Pledges $1 Million to Arkansas Congressman for Midterms
A leading cryptocurrency campaign organization has revealed a bipartisan list of U.S. House members it will back in the upcoming midterm elections. The group, which is one of the highest-spending interest groups, aims to strengthen its influence following a mixed legislative year in Congress. The list includes 19 Republicans and 13 Democrats, all of whom supported legislation that was a top priority for the crypto industry.
Among the lawmakers receiving significant support, U.S. Rep. French Hill of Arkansas is set to get a $1 million pledge from the group. This is part of a broader effort to flex the industry's political muscle, especially after Senate Democrats blocked the CLARITY Act, which sought to establish a federal regulatory framework for digital assets.
The group's bipartisan slate is notable but pales in comparison to its largest general election investment so far. In September, the organization announced plans to spend nearly $30 million against Democratic Senate candidate Sherrod Brown in Ohio. Brown, who faced nearly $40 million in crypto spending during his 2024 loss, has become a major target after Senate Democrats opposed the CLARITY Act.
