Crypto Groups Push Senate Leaders for CLARITY Act Vote

Share

US crypto industry groups are pressing Senate leaders to bring the CLARITY Act to the Senate floor for a vote. The bill, which addresses market-structure issues in the crypto space, still lacks the necessary support to advance.

The Digital Chamber, the Crypto Council, and the Blockchain Association are urging Senate leadership to schedule a floor vote on the CLARITY Act. According to Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett, these groups are pushing for the bill's passage due to concerns over regulatory uncertainty for crypto businesses in the US.

As it stands, the CLARITY Act does not yet have enough support to move forward procedurally, with 60 votes required to advance in the Senate. Industry groups argue that delays in passing the bill would prolong this regulatory uncertainty, which could negatively impact the growth and development of the crypto market.
