Crypto Growth Not Dependent on CLARITY Act Passage, Says Ripple CEO
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is optimistic about the future of the crypto industry despite the recent setback for the CLARITY Act. The bill, which aims to create clearer rules for digital assets in the US, failed to advance in the Senate with a 49-50 vote.
Garlinghouse believes that crypto growth does not depend solely on the passage of this legislation. He pointed to the development of better and faster blockchain technology as another driver of adoption. At a Kansas City digital asset conference, he stated that 'crypto growth has more than one driver.'
The CLARITY Act remains important for bringing clearer federal rules to the crypto market. However, its setback does not stop crypto trading or development in the US. Garlinghouse's comments highlight the gap between technology and regulatory progress.
