Crypto Hack Results in $25.6 Million Losses Amid Ongoing Attacks

A recent crypto hack has drained $25.6 million from unknown victims, according to blockchain security firm PeckShield.

The stolen assets included approximately $6.3 million in WBTC, $5.1 million in DAI, $4.7 million in WBTC, and $2.6 million in Ethereum (ETH).

The attacker swapped the stolen assets for approximately 20 million DAI and 3,000 ETH, valued at about $5.64 million at the time of PeckShield’s report.

This hack is part of a larger trend of continued attacks on the crypto space, with Nominis reporting that attackers stole approximately $242 million across 28 major security incidents in July.
