Crypto Hiring Demand Surges to Record High in September
Crypto hiring demand has surged in September as job postings reached an all-time high for the year, according to Traders Union. The number of crypto job openings rose to 1,241 in September, more than double the January total of 573 and surpassing August's 886 listings.
The increase in job listings is accompanied by a rise in the number of companies hiring, with 125 firms recruiting in September compared to 107 in July. Finance, engineering, and trading are the top areas of demand, with stablecoins, AI, security, and compliance also ranking among the top 10.
However, applicant volumes have slowed down, dropping to under 20,000 in September from 25,700 in July. This divergence may signal intensifying competition for specialist workers, although the data does not explain why applications are falling as vacancies rise.
