Crypto Holders Demand Safer Path to Liquidity as DeFi Lending Hits New High

XPlace CEO Artem Ponomarev has called for safer and more responsible ways to access liquidity in the crypto space, particularly through collateralized borrowing.

The current DeFi lending protocols hold over $42 billion in total value locked, with tokenized stocks reaching $2.34 billion in distributed value.

Ponomarev emphasized that investors should be able to access liquidity without selling their long-term digital-asset positions and compared this model to traditional finance, where borrowing against assets is a common practice.
