Crypto Industry Pours Millions into Ohio Senate Race

The cryptocurrency industry is backing a super PAC called Fairshake to spend millions in the Ohio Senate race. The effort aims to prevent former Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown from returning to office.

This comes after Democrats voted against a digital asset bill supported by the crypto industry, according to Politico. Fairshake previously spent $40 million to defeat Brown in the 2024 Ohio Senate election.

Brown is now seeking to return to D.C. in a special election against GOP Senator Jon Husted to replace Vice President JD Vance. Brown's campaign manager criticized Husted, stating that he serves billionaires who are pouring money into the race to keep him in office.
