Crypto Liquidations Surge to Record $33.48 Million in One Hour

Crypto traders faced significant losses in one hour on September 28 as liquidations hit $33.48 million across Binance, Bybit, and OKX exchanges.

The majority of these liquidations were short positions, accounting for about 91% of the total, with long positions making up the remaining 9%. The data collected from publicly available sources shows that $30.57 million in short positions were liquidated, while $2.91 million in long positions were also closed.

Binance was responsible for $21.32 million of these losses, followed by OKX with $10.08 million and Bybit with $2.07 million. Bitcoin (BTC) led the asset list with $14.01 million in liquidations, while Ether (ETH) came second with $11.50 million and Solana (SOL) third with $1.49 million.
