Crypto Market at Crossroads: Key Resistance Levels Test Momentum
The cryptocurrency market has reached a critical juncture as several major assets test key resistance levels. Uniswap's governance token, UNI, has surged from $3.20 in mid-August to $8.69, nearly tripling in value over the span of roughly a month. The token's explosive move higher has raised concerns about short-term profit-taking and the sustainability of its momentum.
UNI currently trades near $8.69 after pulling back from the $9.44 peak. Traders are now watching whether the token can hold the $7.80 to $8.00 zone, with a deeper retracement bringing the $7.20 to $7.50 band back into focus as a stronger safety net for bullish positioning.
Other major assets, including Near Protocol's NEAR and Hyperliquid's HYPE, have also posted significant gains in recent sessions. NEAR has surged from $2.35 to $3.62, while HYPE has returned to record territory after buyers quickly erased the damage from a mid-September correction.
Bitcoin, the market's bellwether, has rebounded above $80,000 after dipping as low as $75,000 earlier in the week. The current price action suggests that the broader market is approaching an inflection point, with key resistance levels across multiple assets serving as decisive battlegrounds for the next leg of the market.
