The crypto market is bracing itself for a critical day as $10.5 billion in options are set to expire on Friday, July 31. This comes as Bitcoin struggles to find direction around the $64,000 level amidst ongoing uncertainty surrounding US monetary policy and geopolitical risks in the Middle East.

According to Deribit data, approximately $9.7 billion worth of crypto options will expire today. Specifically, $9.69 billion is tied to Bitcoin options, while Ethereum options amount to $830 million.

The Put/Call ratio for BTC options stands at 0.28, indicating that investors are generally betting on higher returns and expecting an upward trend. For Ethereum, the Put/Call ratio is 0.63, which suggests a more cautious market outlook compared to Bitcoin.

Experts caution that while these ratios provide insight into investor sentiment, they should not be considered the sole determining factors of price direction. Macroeconomic developments and investor sentiment continue to play a significant role in pricing.
