Crypto Market Breadth Surges as Bitcoin Trails Behind
The crypto market has seen a significant shift in breadth, with 89 constituents advancing against 10 decliners on the QC 100 index. This marks the strongest breadth reading since tracking began in August, with the index up 3.68%. All ten tracked sectors are green, led by memes at plus 6.13% and DeFi at plus 3.59%, a stark contrast to the previous stretch where every sector was red.
Bitcoin, however, is trailing behind, gaining just 1.05% and remaining down 2.03% on the week. This recovery is happening below the largest asset rather than through it. The boundary worth stating is that one session of strong breadth does not reverse everything on its own; consecutive days of broad participation with rising volume are needed to confirm a change.
Uniswap and Zcash are leading the charge, with UNI up 10.42% to $6.9145 and ZEC gaining 16.55% to $1,373.30. The visible decliners are few, with Monero falling 1.67%, RAIN dropping 13.51%, and LEO slipping 0.09%. Bitcoin dominance has drifted lower from the 59.25% recorded on August 25, consistent with a rotation down the risk curve.
