Crypto Market Dives with Stocks and Gold as Investors Seek Safe Havens

The crypto market has experienced a recent decline in prices, dropping alongside traditional markets like stocks and gold. Bitcoin slipped to around $63,853, Ethereum eased to about $1,918, XRP dipped near $1.06, and Solana fell to roughly $74.27. The correlation between crypto and these assets is significant, with a 67% correlation with stocks and 93% with gold.

This means that when investors become nervous about interest rates, inflation, or global tensions, they tend to move their investments away from risky assets like crypto and towards safer ones like gold. This has led to the liquidation of roughly $144.63 million in long positions, adding extra selling pressure to the market.

Geopolitical tension is also contributing to the nervous mood among investors, with President Trump's warning about targeting Iran's bridges and power plants if they don't reach a deal with the US. This has led many to seek safer assets, further pushing down crypto prices.
