Crypto Market Grows Despite Low Search Interest
The crypto market has seen a notable increase in its total valuation, reaching $2.93 trillion over the past few weeks. This rise has reignited investor interest in a potential bull run, especially as the market capitalization grew by approximately $372 billion in just 19 days. However, despite this optimism, the current valuation remains significantly lower than the all-time high of $4.27 trillion.
Interestingly, while capital flow into the crypto market has been strong, Google Trends data reveals a divergence. Search interest for cryptocurrencies has hit its lowest point of 2024, suggesting minimal retail investor engagement. Typically, bull markets align with high search interest as investors rotate capital into the market. The current low interest may indicate limited capital flow in the near term.
On the other hand, several indicators suggest growing bullish sentiment. The Altcoin Season Index stands at 72, hinting at an impending altseason where altcoins could surge while Bitcoin sees minimal gains. Additionally, the Fear and Greed Index shows investors are in the Greed stage, although extreme greed could signal limited upside before a potential downturn.
Another key factor is the stablecoin supply, which has reached $307.79 billion, with $604.82 million added in the past week. Rising stablecoin supply often indicates investors are preparing to reinvest in the market, a sign that bullish momentum may continue. Despite the divergence in search interest, the market could still be in its early bull phase.
