Crypto Market Mixed as Uniswap Surges Amid Broader Declines
The cryptocurrency market experienced mixed trading on July 28, with Bitcoin and several major altcoins extending their losses. Bitcoin dropped to $63,148, a decrease of 0.90%, while Ether fell to $1,875.18, down 0.81%. Solana declined 1.79% to $72.81, XRP dropped 1.45% to $1.05, and other major tokens like Chainlink and Monero followed suit.
However, not all altcoins were affected by the decline, as Uniswap surged 5.39% to $3.90, making it the top performer among major tokens during the session. Cardano rose 0.79% to $0.1567, while Avalanche and Polygon also posted modest gains.
Despite some altcoins bucking the trend, most leading cryptocurrencies remain under pressure and continue to struggle compared to their levels from a year ago. Bitcoin is down 46.46%, Ether has fallen 50.56%, Solana has declined 59.89%, XRP is down 66.44%, and Cardano has lost nearly 80% over the same period.
Investors will now watch broader market sentiment, macroeconomic developments, and regulatory updates for fresh direction as cryptocurrencies continue to experience sharp daily swings.
