Crypto Market Plunges 2.6% as Stablecoins Remain Steady

The global crypto market capitalization fell by 2.6% to $2.96 trillion on September 24, 2026, according to CoinGecko data.

Bitcoin (BTC) prices dropped 2.6% to $84,091.96, while Ethereum (ETH) prices fell 2.8% to $2,671.86, both with trading volumes of around $43.5 billion and $17.58 billion respectively.

The stablecoin market capitalization reached $291.8 billion, while the DeFi market decreased by 4.6% to a market capitalization of $83 billion.
