Crypto Market Remains in Caution Mode as Binance Alpha Sees Increased Activity
The cryptocurrency market experienced a relatively flat week, with the total crypto market cap standing at $2.41 trillion and down 0.41% in 24 hours. The Fear and Greed Index remained unchanged at 31 for seven days, indicating entrenched caution rather than a market waiting to re-engage.
Despite this, Binance Alpha saw increased activity, with Katana (KAT) launching on March 18 after its Pre-TGE Prime Sale, and tokens being airdropped directly to Alpha accounts. Cysic (CYS) also ran its second airdrop wave, offering 60 CYS per claim at a threshold of 240 Alpha Points.
The first Alpha Box event to draw from two separate project pools simultaneously was also held, with eligible wallets receiving either 470 IN (INFINIT) or 5,000 BLUAI (Bluwhale). This week's Tokenized Securities Trading Competition is ongoing, with a $500,000 prize pool in IAUon.
Looking ahead to March 27, two high-impact events will unfold: the $1.8 billion Bitcoin options expiry and the SEC's deadline on a spot XRP ETF ruling. A surprise rejection would likely pressure altcoins broadly.
