Crypto Market Resists Macro Headwinds as Bitcoin Surges Past $76k
The cryptocurrency market has shown resilience in the face of recent macro headwinds. Despite the Federal Reserve's decision to raise interest rates by 25 basis points, Bitcoin (BTC) has regained momentum and climbed back above $76,000.
Ethereum (ETH), on the other hand, is gaining momentum towards a short-term breakout at $2,500, with some analysts suggesting that it may still have room to grow despite recent ETF outflows reaching $224 million. Ripple (XRP) remains stable, trading around $1.30, but faces headwinds as reflected in declining momentum indicators.
The Federal Reserve's decision was widely expected and marks the first rate hike since 2023. The move is aimed at curbing inflation, which has been above the central bank's 2% goal for too long, according to Fed Chair Kevin Warsh.
