Crypto Market Sees $435M Liquidations as Prices Hold Firm
The crypto market experienced a significant wave of liquidations in the past 24 hours, totaling $435.16 million, according to CoinGlass.
Long positions were hit particularly hard, losing $324.03 million, while shorts accounted for $111.47 million.
Ethereum [ETH] suffered the largest liquidation total of $74.34 million, followed closely by Bitcoin [BTC] at $61.20 million.
Notably, smaller tokens like Ripple [XRP], Dogecoin [DOGE], Near Protocol [NEAR], and Worldcoin [WLD] saw relatively lower liquidation volumes compared to the larger assets.
Despite these significant liquidations, market capitalization rose 1.2% to $2.2 trillion at the time of writing, with several coins posting gains.
