Crypto Market Sees Billions Return as Trading Premiums Fade
The crypto market is seeing billions of dollars return as trading premiums fade away. This shift is being observed in various areas, including fundraising and public-market plans for companies. Kalshi, a prediction market operator, is reportedly in advanced talks to raise about $1 billion at a valuation of $40 billion, nearly double its May valuation.
Blockchain.com, an exchange and wallet provider, is targeting a lower IPO valuation than its previous peak during the last crypto boom. The company is seeking around $500 million through an initial public offering (IPO) with a potential valuation in the range of $4 billion to $6 billion.
Bitget's leadership has expressed limited expectations for recovering funds tied to a $388 million security breach. CEO Gracy Chen stated that she is not optimistic about recovering the stolen funds, citing the complexity of legal and operational processes involved.
