Crypto Market Sees Mild Uptrend as Small-Cap Tokens Surge

The global crypto market capitalization rose by 1.1% to $2.99 trillion on October 2, driven mainly by a surge in small-cap tokens.

Bitcoin (BTC) gained 1.2%, trading at around $84,522 with a dominance of 56.9% in the industry. Ethereum (ETH) price rose by 0.6% to $2,699, with its market capitalization standing near $330 billion.

The Fear and Greed Index eased to 72, indicating greed, down from 74 on October 1 but above last month's level of 63.
