Crypto Market Shifts to 'Greed' but Experts Warn of Overvaluation
The crypto market has undergone a significant shift in sentiment over the past few days, moving from 'Fear' and 'Extreme Fear' levels to 'Greed'. The Crypto Fear and Greed Index currently sits at 68, firmly in the 'Greed' zone.
CoinShares' recent report highlights that the current environment has become more favorable for Bitcoin's rally. However, Jean-Marie Mognetti, CEO of CoinShares, cautions that this does not necessarily mean there is a fundamental improvement across the entire crypto industry.
The sudden change in sentiment can be attributed to multiple factors, including the White House meeting where President Trump urged Congress to pass a 'fair version' of the CLARITY Act. Treasury buybacks and a hawkish Fed tone have also contributed to the rally.
Despite the surge in prices, many experts remain skeptical about the sustainability of the rally. Mognetti points out that rising prices do not automatically validate every asset, citing Bitcoin's 30%+ correction in October 2025 as an example.
