Crypto Market Stagnates Amid Data Leak Threats and Regulatory Uncertainty
The cryptocurrency market remains in a sideways trend, with Bitcoin holding at $63,500 and Ethereum staying above $1,900. Despite this stability, investors are facing new risks due to a recent data leak that has compromised the personal information of nearly 54,000 hardware wallet owners.
The leak was caused by a breach involving delivery service provider ShipMonk, which affected around 14,000 users of Trezor wallets. SafePal also reported a similar situation, with nearly 40,000 clients' names, addresses, and order information potentially exposed to outsiders.
Chainalysis warned that such leaks are one of the main reasons for the rise in physical attacks on crypto investors. The consequences of these data breaches can be severe, including phishing, scams, and loss of privacy.
