Crypto Market Stuck in Neutral: Bitcoin and Ethereum Await Breakout
The crypto market has entered October with a stable structure, but neither Bitcoin nor Ethereum have confirmed a decisive breakout. Despite elevated US Treasury yields and interest rates, investors remain selective as they watch for signs of improvement in global liquidity.
A softer US inflation rate, weaker job openings, and lower consumer confidence have reduced expectations of an immediate Federal Reserve rate increase. This has analysts expecting better liquidity conditions for risk-sensitive assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
However, the US 10-year Treasury yield remains above 5.3%, keeping financial conditions restrictive. Analysts are closely watching inflation, Treasury yields, and central-bank policy as key influences on the market's next phase.
Bitcoin is trading around $83,000, still below its October 2025 high of over $126,000 but significantly above levels near $60,000 seen earlier this year. Its immediate support lies at around $83,300-$83,400, with a decline toward lower levels indicating buyers are losing control.
Ethereum has experienced an uneven recovery and continues to trade around the psychologically important $2,700 level. Analysts recommend caution for investors trading Ethereum Futures due to the risk of leverage magnifying losses.
