Crypto Market Surges Past $2.77 Trillion as Bitcoin Leads Charge
The cryptocurrency market has seen a significant surge in recent hours, with the total crypto market cap climbing to $2.77 trillion, representing a 2.3% increase over the past 24 hours.
BTC is leading the charge, reaching a value of $79,187.27, up 2.1% from yesterday's close. The XRP token has posted the strongest gains among major assets, rising 6.4% to $1.46. Meanwhile, Ethereum has experienced a modest increase of 1.1%, reaching $2,541.20.
The rally comes as Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent emphasized the importance of the CLARITY Act in driving innovation and competition in the US cryptocurrency space. The bill is set to undergo a Senate cloture vote on Tuesday, with many hoping its passage will provide fresh momentum for the industry.
However, not all signals point to a positive outlook. Iranian state media has rejected President Trump's claims that Iran was eager to end the conflict 'quickly and boldly,' casting doubt on global stability and inflation risks.
