Crypto Market Surges Past $3T as Altcoins Gain Momentum
The cryptocurrency market has reclaimed its $3 trillion valuation threshold after a brief dip. Bitcoin's recent breakout has pulled major altcoins higher, restoring risk appetite across digital assets.
BTC briefly topped $87,000 but cooled towards $86,000, while the combined altcoin market capitalization reached $1.19 trillion, its highest level since late January. The recovery has broadened beyond Bitcoin, with capital rotating into large-cap tokens as the market rebuilds momentum after September's volatility.
XRP emerged as one of the clearest beneficiaries, reclaiming the $1.50 resistance level after gaining about 4% over 24 hours. Ethereum briefly touched $2,800 before easing towards $2,750, while BNB reached $800 and Dogecoin approached $0.10.
The synchronized gains suggest the rally is becoming more distributed across the market rather than remaining concentrated entirely in Bitcoin. Glassnode's Altcoin Cycle Signal climbed to 81.25 out of 100, while altcoin capitalization has risen 33% since August 19, adding weight to the improving market breadth.
