Crypto Markets Narrow as Breadth Deteriorates Sharply
Crypto markets have narrowed significantly in recent days, with only 48 of the top 100 assets finishing green this week, down from 86 last week. This contraction in breadth is a sign that the market is digesting its recent gains and that institutional capital flows are becoming more concentrated.
One notable exception to this trend is Solana (SOL), which has benefited from strong institutional flows and risk-on rotation, leading it to stand out as the top performer this week. Other assets, such as XRP and AAVE, have struggled to maintain their momentum, with XRP facing resistance at $2.40 and AAVE testing key support near $123.
The total market capitalization remains elevated near $2.64 trillion, but beneath this surface lies a more complex tape, with participation fragmenting sharply. This structural divergence between leaders like Solana and cooling names like XRP and AAVE exposes deeper uncertainty about the next institutional capital vector.
