TMTG Files Two New Cryptocurrency Exchange-Traded Funds with SEC
Trump Media and Technology Group has filed registration statements with the SEC for two new cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds. The filings, made in September 2025, include a Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) ETF that would generate additional yield through ether staking, as well as a Cronos Yield Maximizer ETF built around Crypto.com's native token, CRO.
The proposed funds carry a management fee of 0.95% and would be available through Crypto.com's broker-dealer arm, Foris Capital US. The filing marks the latest attempt by Truth Social to secure SEC approval for its crypto ETFs, following at least three earlier filings that remain pending after repeated delays throughout 2025.
The inclusion of CRO in the new proposals is notable given TMTG's deepening commercial relationship with Crypto.com, which has already supported Trump Media's Bitcoin treasury initiative and is involved in a joint prediction market venture. However, the filings raise familiar governance questions about a sitting president's media company seeking SEC approval for financial products.
