Crypto Markets Reel from Exploit and Stalling Inflows
Near Protocol's (NEAR) uptrend has been cut short after an exploit on its Near Intents services, which affected deposits and withdrawals across 11 crypto networks. The price of NEAR slid below $5.00 on Thursday.
The correction comes in the wake of an attack that resulted in a loss of over $4 million for Near Intents users. This incident has raised concerns about the security of the network, which is likely to have a negative impact on investor confidence.
Ripple (XRP) also experienced a decline, dropping below $1.50 as ETF inflows stalled. The correction from its September highs of $1.66 reflects recent struggles faced by major assets Bitcoin and Ethereum.
