Crypto Miners and Energy Commodities Drive Top-Performing ETFs
Last week's top-performing ETFs were dominated by single-stock derivative strategies, crypto miners, and energy commodities. The YieldMax SMCI Option Income Strategy ETF (SMCY) led the pack with a 18.2% return, thanks to its synthetic covered-call exposure on Super Micro Computer (SMCI).
Crypto miner equity derivative exposure also saw significant gains, with the CoinShares Bitcoin Mining ETF (WGMI A-) climbing 12.7% and the Grayscale Bitcoin Miners ETF (MNRS) gaining 9.3%. This uptrend in digital asset infrastructure strategies was observed across both active and index-based wrappers.
The Global X Blockchain ETF (BKCH A-), designed to deliver targeted exposure to companies driving digital asset adoption and ledger technology, rose 8.6%, while the Nicholas Crypto Income ETF (BLOX) gained 7.5%. Energy commodities also performed well, with the Invesco DB Oil Fund (DBO A) climbing 10.5% and the United States Oil Fund LP (USO B) advancing 10.3%.
