Crypto Ownership Falls as Investors Lose Interest
Crypto ownership has seen a decline in recent times, according to a new Gallup survey. Over the last year, crypto ownership among all U.S. adults has fallen from 14% to 9%, and from 17% to 11% among investors.
The survey also found that two-thirds of investors with $10,000 or more in investable assets say they aren't interested in buying crypto. This is up just a few percentage points compared to last year.
Stephen Kates, a certified financial planner and principal at Clocktower Financial Consulting, attributes the decline in crypto ownership to a 'honeymoon period' that has faded. He notes that many investors have lost interest due to the volatility of the market.
