Crypto Prices Plummet as Senate Fails to Advance Clarity Act Vote
The crypto market took a sharp decline after the US Senate failed to move forward on the CLARITY Act vote. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP all dropped as traders reduced exposure in response to renewed regulatory uncertainty.
While the failed vote was a significant factor, it's not the only reason for the market decline. Weak market sentiment, liquidations, macroeconomic concerns, and reduced risk appetite also contributed to the drop in prices across major cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin fell below $75,000 after the Senate vote, pushing BTC into a new short-term correction phase. The decline damaged market confidence as Bitcoin had previously held several important support zones.
