Crypto Prices Plunge as Bitcoin Struggles to Break $67,000
Crypto prices have taken another hit today, with Bitcoin (BTC) trading at around $63,877, down 1.65% on the day and struggling to break through the $67,000 area.
Ethereum (ETH), XRP, Solana, and most other major cryptocurrencies followed BTC lower, giving back almost all of their gains from the past seven days.
The only bright spots were Monero, UNUS SED LEO, and Zcash, which rose 2.74%, 1.05%, and fell 5.94% respectively, but even these assets were down on the week.
Analysts pointed to several factors contributing to the market's decline, including surging oil prices and inflation concerns, outflows from spot Bitcoin ETFs, leverage getting flushed, renewed tensions between the US and Iran, and bad headlines from within the industry itself.
