Crypto Prices Slip Ahead of Options Expiry
Crypto prices fell for a second day on Thursday, with Bitcoin down 2.8% over 24 hours at about $83,400 by 08:50 UTC.
XRP lost 7.2%, and Dogecoin dropped 6.6%, according to CoinGecko data.
No single headline drove the drop, but it's a pullback after Monday's rally took Bitcoin to its highest daily close since January.
This comes as the market awaits Friday's quarterly options expiry on Deribit.
Bitcoin is retesting $82,614, which Paul Howard, senior director at Wincent, said could see the market retrace towards $81,000 to $82,000 if it breaks below $85,000.
