Crypto privacy coins have made a spectacular comeback in the past five months, with their market capitalization rising from $11.97 billion to $36.51 billion.
Zcash and Monero are behind this surge, accounting for nearly all of the estimated $24.5 billion gained by the privacy coin segment.
The price of ZEC rose from $319 to $1,507 over the period, while XMR grew from $330 to $555.
