Crypto Projects Unlock Over $860M in Tokens Across Release Curves
Three major crypto projects, Hyperliquid, EigenLayer, and Ethena, have unlocked significant amounts of tokens in their respective release curves. According to a report by KuCoin, these releases are part of the developers' token unlocking schedules. The figures released are substantial: 36.82 million tokens from EigenLayer, approximately $7.07 million; 9.91 million tokens from Hyperliquid, worth around $820 million; and 210 million tokens from Ethena, valued at about $33.94 million.
EigenLayer is a protocol built on Ethereum that introduces re-staking as a new primitive in crypto-economic security. This allows users to join EigenLayer's smart contracts to re-stake their ETH and extend crypto-economic security to other applications on the network.
Hyperliquid, on the other hand, is a high-performance blockchain with the vision of creating a fully on-chain open finance system. Its release curve shows that liquidity, user applications, and trading activity work together on a unified platform designed for all financial operations.
