Crypto Rally Fuels Record ETF Inflows as Bitcoin Surges Past $80,000
Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs have just experienced their largest inflow week of 2026, with a combined total of $2.6 billion pouring in as crypto prices surged higher.
The strong demand for these funds comes after a sharp rally that saw Bitcoin climb from around $62,300 to briefly trade near $80,000 on Friday, while Ethereum surged to a seven-month high above $2,500.
According to SoSoValue data, US spot Bitcoin ETFs drew in $1.918 billion over the five trading sessions through August 21, with funds holding Ethereum attracting $697.2 million.
This marks the strongest intake for these two groups in about 10 months and brings the cumulative net subscriptions since their January 2024 debut to $53.7 billion for Bitcoin funds alone.
