Crypto Stocks and Storage Shares Climb in Early U.S. Trading
Crypto-related stocks and storage sector shares saw gains during the U.S. market open on October 5, even as major indexes showed mixed movements. Among the crypto stocks, SharpLink Gaming (SBET) led the pack with a 2.35% rise, followed by BitMine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) at 1.6%. Gemini (GEMI) and Bullish (BLSH) also posted gains of 2.57% and 1.52%, respectively. Strategy (MSTR) advanced 1.94%, while Circle (CRCL) and Coinbase (COIN) added 1.78% and 2.09%, respectively.
In the storage sector, Western Digital stood out with a significant 7.38% jump at the open, while Seagate Technology (STX) climbed 5.21%. SanDisk saw a modest rise of 0.64%, though Micron bucked the trend with a 0.74% decline.
The broader market displayed a split performance, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipping 0.1%. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 edged up 0.07%, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.1%.
