Crypto Stocks Soar as Traditional Firms Slump in After-Hours Trading
Crypto-exposed stocks led the after-hours charge on Tuesday, driving Strategy Inc (MSTR) up 16.39% to $153.92.
Bitcoin mining firms Bitdeer Technologies Group (BTDR) and MARA Holdings (MARA) also surged, rising by 15.39% to $12.97 and 13.75% to $13.24 respectively.
Pershing Square Inc. (PS), a notable non-crypto standout, gained 13.69% to $49.83.
However, the crypto sector's gains were not mirrored across all industries, as pharmaceutical firm Xenon Pharmaceuticals (XENE) plummeted by 30.69% to $39.75.
NuScale Power (SMR), a small nuclear energy company, shed 8.52% to $8.27, while Peabody Energy (BTU), Rush Street Interactive (RSI), and Tango Therapeutics (TNGX) all fell between 7-8% in value.
