Crypto Thieves Attack Family with Hammers in Violent Robbery

Share

A businessman and his pregnant wife were attacked in their home by masked men who threatened to kill their unborn baby unless they transferred hundreds of thousands of pounds of cryptocurrency.

The attackers, described as three men in their late teens or early twenties, broke into the Solihull home after dark, beating the man with hammers and holding his wife down on the sofa.

'They threatened my wife and my baby,' the businessman said. 'People need to understand these risks are real.'

The attackers appeared to be connected via a live video call, with one of them instructing the others through FaceTime.

After transferring their crypto savings, the men left in a car driven by a getaway driver, stealing several luxury Rolex watches along the way.
