Crypto VC Rebounds in Q2 with $5.6 Billion Deployed Across 384 Deals
Crypto venture capital rebounded in Q2 2026 after cooling off in Q1. According to Galaxy Research, approximately $5.6 billion was deployed across 384 deals, with a 31% sequential increase in investment volume and a 10% rise in deal count.
The recovery was primarily driven by later-stage financing, which accounted for 78.3% of the total investment volume. The U.S. remained the dominant player, capturing 73.5% of investment volume and 39.1% of deals.
New funds raised only $3.9 billion in Q2, marking the lowest number since Q4 2019. This disconnect between deployment and fundraising warrants caution, as it may indicate a market imbalance.
