Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has warned that crypto policy will be a deciding factor in the upcoming midterm elections, citing a survey by Stand With Crypto. The group found that about 70% of crypto owners say a candidate's stance on crypto would influence their vote, while 73% are closely watching what policies lawmakers support.

The midterms are approaching, and Armstrong emphasized that 'crypto voters are watching.' He shared this message in response to Stand With Crypto's push for lawmakers to take crypto voters seriously. The group marked 100 days until the elections and highlighted these numbers behind their warning.

The CLARITY Act has a shrinking window before the Senate breaks for its August recess, with concerns about it being short of the necessary votes. SEC Chair Paul Atkins expressed support for advancing the bill, stating that American leadership in digital finance depends on 'a regulatory framework worthy of' innovators. Fairshake, a pro-crypto super PAC, has built a war chest of about $193 million ahead of the 2026 midterms.
