Crypto Wallets Can Receive Cryptocurrency Without Gas Fees
A crypto wallet can receive cryptocurrency without paying gas fees for most blockchain networks.
In a normal blockchain transaction, the sender pays the network fee, while the receiving wallet does not usually need to pay a gas fee to receive the funds.
This is an important distinction between receiving and sending cryptocurrencies. When someone sends cryptocurrency to your wallet address, the sender's transaction is what needs to be processed by the blockchain. The recipient generally doesn't need to hold the network's native coin just to receive the cryptocurrency.
This means that even if you have a zero balance in a particular cryptocurrency, you can still receive it on a specific blockchain. For example, if someone sends 100 USDT to your BNB Smart Chain address, your wallet can receive it even if it has no BNB.
