Cryptocurrencies Defy Macro Headwinds as Interest Rates Rise
The US Federal Reserve's decision to raise interest rates has had little impact on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP. Despite the move, which was widely expected, these cryptocurrencies have shown resilience in the face of macro headwinds.
Bitcoin has been trading above $76,000, a psychological support level tested just below this price. The largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization also holds a constructive near-term bias as its price remains above key Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs).
Ethereum, meanwhile, is gaining momentum towards $2,500, suggesting the return of bulls as macro headwinds settle. Ripple has remained stable, trading around $1.30, reinforced by short- to medium-term moving averages.
