Cryptocurrency Billionaires Fuel Reform UK's Financial Boost

Reform UK has received two £36 million donations from cryptocurrency billionaires in a matter of days. Thai-based businessman Christopher Harborne, the party's biggest donor, matched the donation made by Ben Delo on Friday.

Harborne wrote in the Daily Telegraph that his donation was 'a philanthropic gift to our country' intended to help Reform prepare for government. He stated that while he has been donating £1 million a month to the party, Delo told him he was going to make a record donation of £36 million.

The donations come after reports that MPs backed measures including a cap on overseas donations at £100,000 and a suspension of funding through cryptocurrency. Reform UK denies any wrongdoing in relation to alleged breaches of rules on political donations.
