Cryptocurrency Lobbyists Spend Big to Take Down Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown

A $30 million ad campaign targeting Senator Sherrod Brown has been launched by FairShake PAC, backed by cryptocurrency industry heavyweights Ripple Labs and Coinbase.

The ads, sponsored by Defend American Jobs, do not mention cryptocurrency directly, but focus on criticizing Brown for past liberal votes, including a federal gas tax hike and expansion of the IRS.

Brown's campaign manager responded to the ad campaign, saying that special interests are panicking because they know Brown will fight against the rigged system.
