Cryptocurrency Prices at Historic Lows Present Opportunity for Upside Potential
The current state of cryptocurrency prices presents an opportunity for investors to buy into top-performing coins at discounted rates.
As of September 29, Bitcoin was 33% below its all-time high of $126,080, Ethereum was 46% below its peak of $4,946, and Solana was about 60% below its record high of $293. This decline in prices means that these coins are no longer overvalued, giving them significant upside potential.
The Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL), the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT), and the iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) hold these coins and offer investors a way to participate in their growth. The largest of these funds is the IBIT, which has $66.8 billion in net assets and accounts for a majority of U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs.
The Solana ETF offers a yield of 5.5%, but this will likely decrease due to a governance measure that speeds up the decline in new coin issuance over time.
